Therapeutic efficacy of macrolides in management of patients with mild COVID-19

Abstract Evidence on the efficacy of adding macrolides (azithromycin or clarithromycin) to treatment regimen for COVID-19 is limited. We testify whether azithromycin clarithromycin a standard care was superior supportive alone in patients with mild COVID-19.This randomized trial included three groups COVID-19. The group included, 107 who received 500 mg/24 h 7 days, 99 /12 and control only. All only symptomatic fever cough .Clinical biochemical evaluations study participants including assessment symptoms duration, real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR), C-reactive protein (CRP), serum ferritin, D-dimer, complete blood count (CBC), addition non-contrast chest computed tomography (CT), were performed. overall results revealed significant early improvement (fever, dyspnea cough) treated either compared group, also there conversion SARS-CoV-2 PCR negative ( p < 0.05 all).There no difference time fever, cough, dyspnea, anosmia, gastrointestinal tract "GIT" between > all).
